“Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen” (John Steinbeck). I agree that yes, my ideas are like rabbits. First I have a couple and then they multiply. But it doesn’t stop at a dozen. Next thing you know, there are too many and they’re scattered. I need to have control over them, so I put them in some kind of order. Then, to keep track, I try to name them. But there are too many to name and their names become meaningless. I can’t handle that many rabbits at one time. If I can keep it down to a dozen, that’s manageable. And if we’re still talking rabbits, I’d just have them neutered. 11/3/23
