Writer’s Rant for 12/17/23
The Other Side of Me
“Sometimes I wish I were a nicer person, but then I laugh and continue my day.” OK, so I admit, I can be a little brash sometimes. I’m sure you have a general idea what brash means: self-assertive in a rude, noisy, or overbearing way. But most of the time, I’m not very self-assertive or noisy. I’m an introvert, which is why I write and don’t talk a lot. I’m actually soft-spoken and it requires too much energy and effort to try to speak over loud voices (most of which are in my head). As far as overbearing, that’s for you to decide. You may tire of my sarcastic wit, in which case, you don’t have to read my blogs. But you could still read my book Running Shoes and you will find there is not much sarcastic wit, if any, contained within. So it’s an opportunity for you to see the other side of me. If you even care. And if you don’t, it’s your loss (except that you have saved yourself $19.99 on Amazon). The holidays are coming. Buy someone a book. May I suggest mine? 12/17/23
