“The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.” (Thomas Jefferson). Personally, I sometimes prefer no words. I participated in a “murder mystery” recently and I was assigned the role of “Iconic Hollywood Actor”. I assumed an attitude and when speaking to other characters, made it clear that I was important and they were all beneath me. I memorized a line from iconic actor Gary Cooper, which I used frequently throughout the night. When I was done denigrating each and every other participant, I made it clear that there was no need for them to speak, when I said: “One nice thing about silence is that it can’t be repeated.” (I’ll say that again if you need, but I’d prefer not.) I didn’t know it at the time, but I was to be the victim. And deservedly so. 10/22
