“I support the right to bare arms, but in the winter you should really wear a coat.” (those are my words). I own a rifle and I have hunted in the past. I don’t ever plan on shooting anyone with my rifle, but I need to be able to protect myself when the zombie apocalypse comes. Therefore, I have a right to keep it. Mental illness is the problem. So it makes sense to do what is necessary to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. If you want or already have a gun and plan on shooting people, you may want to talk to someone about it. I have a kind of self-diagnosed mental illness. I find it funny when people I meet know there is something going on here, but don’t know why they are looking at me funny. But I do. And that’s my secret.
