“A blank piece of paper is God’s way of telling us how hard it is to be God” (Sydney Sheldon). Oh where to begin? Fortunately, God let us figure out how to go from a blank piece of paper to a blank screen. I’ve spent hours in front of my blank screen, thinking of an idea, setting my goals, making an outline to keep order, creating a story, editing and correcting the insufficiency of my work, and admiring the finished product. Just when I think I’m done, I discover it’s not perfect. And probably never will be. But I’ll give it another try. So scratch that idea. Call in the flood. Go to the next blank page. Or in my case, screen. It’s a do-over.
