When I was in college, the subject I disliked the most was philosophy.  Maybe it was because I didn’t think I would ever be taken seriously enough to have my words repeated. Author Sylvia Plath says it like this: ‘Let me live, love, and say it well in good sentences.’  I have tried and tried, edit upon edit, to say it well.  And this is the best I can come up with in RUNNING SHOES:

“I’m always happy to hear your opinion, as long as it’s affirmation that I have made the right decision.”
