Writer’s Rant for 11/25

Now that I have your attention, let’s talk football. Fantasy Football. I started playing in a family fantasy league about five years ago. I did no prep to select my players and didn’t prepare ahead of time for the draft, except for some “expert” I found on-line who ranked the players. Many of those in my league know every active player in the NFL and they make their selections accordingly. But if you have ever participated in a FF league, you know how unpredictable it can be, especially when your team is suddenly plagued by injuries. I think some people tend to over-strategize and overthink their choices. I knew the least amount about the players, yet in the first two years I played, I won first and second places. However, since those first two seasons, I study the players before the draft. I haven’t won since. Ignorance IS bliss.
